About our Pastor

Pastor Elijah Smith is a native of Brierfield, AL. He has been called by God to lead, serve, and inspire many.
Pastor Smith is a born again believer of Jesus Christ. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at age 17 before graduating High School. His call to salvation occurred at his home church Jesus Temple Holiness Church Montevallo, AL.
Pastor Smith graduated from Spain Park High School in Hoover, AL where he played multiple sports like football, track, and wrestling. After High School he attended the University of South Alabama. Later he furthered his biblical studies at the Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College and Alabama Theological Seminary, where he obtained his Doctor of Theology.
He has served with the Birmingham Police Department since 2013. During his time of service he has embraced valuable opportunities to lend himself as a servant. Pastor Smith currently serves as the departments Lead Chaplain.
He  is the father of three beautiful daughters named Makayla, McKenzie, and Madison. They truly inspire him to live a life of integrity, dignity, and respect.
Pastor Smith believes that the Word of God is inerrant and guides us throughout our lives. He also believes that Love is the foundation of the truth. He loves the quote, “You can give without loving but you can’t love without giving”.
